License Consultation

The Helmholtz RSD is continuously being further developed. We are currently preparing the integration of a consultation plugin. The plugin can be used to obtain a consultation from professionals that will help you to assign a suitable license for your research software.

Please note that currently, the consultation feature is only available for employees of the GFZ.

At the current stage, the license consultation process of the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences has been migrated to the Helmholtz RSD. The OSPO provides their services now via this portal.

Future goals​

Our future goals include

  • adding automated dependency analysis
  • connection with HIFIS Software Consulting to enable a consultation process for Helmohltz centres that do not have their consultation process available in the Helmholtz RSD
  • open the process so that other Helmholtz centre can offer a consultation via the Helmholtz RSD
