Q&A
Q: How are HIFIS Software Spotlights related to the Helmholtz Software Award?
A: Spotlights and the Software Award are unrelated. The HIFIS Software Spotlights were founded by HIFIS as a measure to improve the visibility of research software within Helmholtz. The Software Award, pursuing the same goal, is a joint initative of HIFIS, HiDA, HiRSE and the Helmholtz Open Science Office. The Software Award nominees are thoroughly reviewed by a panel of external reviewers, whereas the HIFIS Software Spotlights are reviewed by the HIFIS Software Community team.
